We got to have Thanksgiving at our house this year. Mom C., Alicia, Kelli and her family, and Kevin and his family all came. We had an abundance of food, fun, family and, as you can see, pie!! Kelli made the yummy banana cream pies, mom made the delicious lemon meringue pies, Laurie made perfect pumpkin pies, and I made the apple cranberry and apple pies. The kids made edible turkeys and we decorated wooden ornaments once again, thanks to Laurie! Here are a few pictures, and now that I see them, I realize that I am going to have to take lots more to capture everything.

Happy Birthday Travis!!

So, it was Travis's big 40 on November 22! The day before (Sunday), we all loaded up in the car to go return a Redbox movie, and as soon as the garage door opened, people scattered! There was a family that was 'decorating' our house for his birthday. It was really fun. They stayed hidden until we left, and by the time we returned, they had finished putting black '40's' on the garage, crepe paper all over the trees and plants, wrapping paper on the door, writing with chalk on the driveway, and forking a '40' in the lawn. It was cute, but the only problem was that it then rained, so it made it a little difficult to clean up. We had a cake made by Brooke (well, she thought it was a cake mix, but it was actually a brownie mix) and ice cream. Travis didn't want us to buy him presents this year...he just wanted the money so that he could put it toward what he wanted. Either a bike, a garmin watch for running, or just having money to invest. Well, good luck with that one!
